Christmas Brunch... Ladies' Night Out... Angel family

Greetings UR Women!
What a wonderful time
of the year to experience
Unwrapping His Christmas Presence
at our annual Women's Brunch
this Saturday at 10 am in the
dinning Hall.
Please bring your favorite brunch dish
and be prepared to unwrap His Presence
this Saturday Morning.
Doesn't that sound wonderful in the
middle of all the rush of the Season?
Come and bring a friend as we want To.Get.Her
so she can feel His presence too!
Please be in prayer for an encounter this Saturday.
Also, I do not believe this was posted in the bulletin
so PLEASE call any lady you know that does not have internet
access. We want ALL to be included.

Also the RADA orders are due this Saturday.
Be sure to circulate the catalogs at work
and to family and collect by this Saturday.
All checks should be written to yourself
and cashed before the order is turned in to Gail (bgtnorm(at symbol)yahoo(dot)com)
We will be shopping this week for the Angel family
and it will make the process quicker and easier.

Blessings,
Jennifer

Your Love, it is intimate....

Ladies Night Out was awesome and intimate tonight. We came together and shared our request before the Lord and each other. We poured out our hearts and opened up to one another. It wasn't planned by man, but God used tonight to unite and we actually lived out loud tonight.
So many times we get together and everyone is so preoccupied with their own thoughts and whirlwind of life that it is hard to come together and just be honest with one another and with God. I want to thank the ladies that were there tonight. It was a small group, but it was a supportive group of women who just want to LOVE.
We brained stormed about what we want to see happen with the UR Women's Ministry in 2011. I will share with you some of the details in a minute. But first off I want to say that I thank God for each and every one of you. Some of you have been involved in UR Women's ministry "since time began" and others are just joining us. I want to encourage each and every one of you To. get. her.  Reach out and love on the lady you sit next to at work or that you see in passing in the foyer of the church. We all want to be loved and feel loved. We as women want each other's concern and care. We are emotional beings and with that comes a lot of sticky ground and junk from every day life, but you know what?  That is the life of a women on this Earth. We all fight spiritual and fleshly battles every day. That is why we need each others support. We need to be one anothers' cheer leader.  Am I making since?
I have spoke about this before when I launched the To. get. her. vision. I just wanted to reiterate the importance during this busy season of the year. When life seems to fast forward until about the second week in January and we all turn around thinking, "whew glad that's over, but I think I missed it".  So I just wanted to remind you to slow down in these next few weeks of the year and put aside your "Martha" spirit and pick up your "Mary" spirit and don't forget to sit at His feet and soak up all that HE HAS FOR YOU.  He is our gift this season.  Isn't that amazing? It blows me away just to stop in that moment and think of how wonderful He is. The best part... I can share this "gift" with anyone and my "gift" keeps on getting sweeter.  I hope you know what I mean when I say that.  God is so good to us and His gift of His Son and the magnitude of that just blows me away!

So here it is... the brain storm of the night...

Soul Sisters...  goal: pair up with another women to become her personal cheerleader and prayer partner. When see is having a bad day she is to let you know; when you read an awesome verse text it to her or call her with it. It just may be what she needs to fuel her through the rest of her day.

So how do we "pair up"?   shoot me an email of someone you have in mind that maybe God has laid on your heart, or if you want to be involved in this. I would love to see EVERY women 100% involved in this. That is the goal. No sister left behind!

Battlefield of the Mind, by Joyce Meyer... will be a new series we will start in December... yep next month. Here is a link to Amazon for the video of what it's about and this is the link to get your copy. (they have used books available) This is the study guide, not a must, but it is available. I don't care where you get it from and you might be able to find it at Ross. I do know, you will want to get it ASAP, at least I know I did just listening to her video online, so I just downloaded the Kindle version of it and whalla!  We will watch a portion of the DVD at our December ladies night out 12.9.10!

Adopt a Family for Christmas
The UR Women would like to adopt a family this year.
We are kicking off a fundraiser to help fund this.
We will be selling RADA knives,
soup, cheese ball, sauce mixes
& soy candles.
So keep in mind those hard to buy for people on your list.
He may enjoy a nice hunting knife and she may
love the long lasting soy candle.
The prices are amazing and I believe we can do awesome with this.
We turned in 2 orders last time and made $50!
So the goal will be for EACH women to obtain at least ONE order.
We will make 40% of the profit and 100% of that will
go toward the meal, clothes, toys for the family.
See Gail Norman for Catalogs!
Download the order form here
Shipping for orders
$20 or less is $2
$21 or more is $3

You can also direct people to the website to order,
which is perfect for out of town family and friends.
Send it out to anyone you have in your email.
Title it Christmas shopping with added bonus: helping a family in need!

Angel Pancake Breakfast
You don't want to miss this ministry opportunity...
December 4th
Our church will be hosting approximately 50 needy families that have been referred to us on Saturday, Dec. 4th from 9:00am to 11:00am.  We will be serving them a pancake breakfast while we minister to them with song and a word from our Pastor.  We will also give a food care package and a toy for each child.  WE STILL NEED TOYS!!  We are still accepting new or gently used toys!!  We need toys for boys especially.  Toys can be brought to the red barrel in the Ministry Center foyer.  We will also need volunteers from our church family to serve these families.  This is a wonderful opportunity to sit and talk with them, minister to them and encourage them.  Each family will need at least one representative from our church to stay with them during the time they are here to eat with them and then take them to their care package and escort them out.  We will have a sign up sheet in the Ministry Center foyer this Sunday to sign up to volunteer.  Please come by and sign up to help these families this Christmas.  For more information, please contact Dayna Hamilton.

Ladies Night Out... Christmas Brunch...

Hi UR ladies,

I want to first start off with a huge THANK YOU for all who pitched in to serve hot dogs at the Fall Fest. You ladies are amazing! Your hard work paid off. We ended up making $400 which help cover our deficit. Again thank you for donating items to serve and coming to serve.

I also wanted to mention our next ladies night out. This month has slipped away from me and I did not announce our meeting that should have been scheduled for this week. So I do apologize but I do want to meet with you ladies this month to discuss several things. I have reserved Fills' for us next Thursday 11/18/10. Sorry for any inconvenience this may incur. I know the Women to Women has moved their meeting day so again I am sorry.

So in the future I have reserved Fills' for us on the second Thursday of every month at 7 pm from now through May. If you guys decide you want to meet somewhere else we can just let them know. So mark your calendars.

Also we have been invited to join Life Church for their Festival of Tables on December 4th. I have attached the flier with the details. Tickets are on sale for $15 per person. This includes dinner,
(The menu is Herb Crusted Pork Loin, salad, cheesy potatoes, roll, dessert, coffee/tea). and the speaker. If you have never attend such an event it is really something spectacular to see.
If any of you are interested in being a host of a table there are 4 tables left that need host. See email attachment "festival of tables letter"  for details on how to become a host.
Need to know if you are interested in being a host or attending by 11-18-10.
I would love for you guys to join Life Church for this event to check it out and see if you would be interested in joining them for an even bigger event combined.

Mark your calendars for
December 11th at 10 am for the Annual Ladies Brunch.
We will be meeting in the dinning hall. Please plan to bring your favorite brunch dish. Looking forward to this event!

Christmas fundraiser... the RADA knives where a huge hit! If we are planning on helping a family for Christmas let's join together and pass the catalogs out for friends, family and co-workers to do their Christmas shopping while helping a family in need! See Gail Norman for catalogs starting this Sunday (bgtnorm@yahoo.com) . We have 5 weeks to circulate the catalogs and get things together for a family in need.

Foster Closet... We really need to stock up our closet for the foster families in our community. Things needed are any new or gently used items used for every day needs of a child. Metal or plastic toddler beds, pottys, sippy cups, coats, etc. Please see Jamie Chipman if you have questions.

Thanks Ladies,
Jennifer
